America, What a Country!
It’s hard to fathom how far the average American has advanced in such little time. When I was a child, I lived in a modest middle-class home where my father worked as a machinist for a major railroad. We didn’t have a ton of money but dad made enough to support our family while mom stayed home to care for me and my little sister. In addition to dad’s wage, the railroad provided medical insurance and a retirement that currently pays to support my mother.
Since the 1950′s and 1960′s, what’s changed?
To put it in simple terms, we, the American middle-class have been sold out. From our government leaders to those who run our labor unions. In 2010, it’s all about corporate and Wall Street profits. Whatever it takes to turn a worthless buck.
Mr. Kraft, I’m not impressed with the “Made in Mexico” printed on the side of a recently purchased box of Ritz crackers. Need I say more?
