Jake Towne, Independent candidate for US House in Pennsylvania’s 15th district, appeared on FOX News show “Freedom Watch†for the third time yesterday. In the interview, Towne discusses his race against the Republican incumbent, Charles Dent, and Democrat John Callahan. Both Dent and Callahan have not responded to Towne’s offer for a public debate.

Towne’s stance on the federal income tax is highlighted, as well as his promise to not enlist in the lucrative congressional pension plan or the elite congressional health care plan. Towne will only accept the median household income for a salary and the remainder of the $174,000 salary will be donated to local non-profit hospitals.
Towne is a chemical engineer who worked in the semiconductor industry prior to running for office, including the past 4 years in Shanghai, China. This Tuesday, Towne gave his first interview on Bobby Gunther Walsh’s local talk show on WAEB 790 AM.

I can't vote for him. Florida's 16th. However, if he is an indication, of the new, non-politician, politician. Hoo-Ray-Hoo-Ray! let's pray, either “Machine”, doesn't get hold of him.

I agree… As a side note, I do see some of his press releases showing up from time-to-time in my daily email updates from Ron Paul's, Campaign For Liberty…
I myself have considered running for Congress but those who are engaged in various political circles in my CD only seem interested in whining… Without support from my backyard, why bother… I'm not going to pour any of my money into a political campaign that doesn't have strong grassroots support… End of story if any whiners in Washington's 5th CD are lurking…

Cool, it's just a matter of time before Campaign For Liberty, The Tea Party's, Independents, Populists and Progressives decide to merge and take matters into our own hands… Rep's Ron Paul, Marci Kaptur, Dennis Kucinich, Alan Grayson and Senator Bernie Sanders need to lead this effort… Democracy should prevail and a National Referendum could be used to settle some social issues where we differ… Google 'national referendum', read how some European countries are using this 100% democratic process…
