You’re absolutely right – the amount of money in politics is absurd. Obama’s goal is to raise $1 billion for the campaign – how could that money be spent better? How many favours is it buying big corporations?

Until money (especially corporate money) is out of politics, what we have is all we’ll ever get.

the deficit isn’t really an issue–or, to put it another way, it’s not a real issue–because there are two easy solutions (at least). They are: stop “defense” spending; and/or, socialize and or end the Fed, let the gov’t print its own money directl w/out incurring debt. That our gov’t refuses to even mention either possibility speaks volumes about our gov’t's priorities.

Does America need an alternative to capitalism? I’d argue that bailing out poorly managed and corrupt financial institutions isn’t capitalism at all…it’s more like a dictatorship where the corrupt government supports it’s own interest(s)… In this case those who are responsible for bank-rolling the previous election(s) of those in power… Q: Didn’t Rubin, Summers and Geithner work for George W. Bush as well as Obama? Q: If America were Cuba would the Castro’s be Republican or Democrat?

I don’t buy any product made in Mexico . If the box doesn’t say made in Mexico look at the code date . If MM is in the code date it was made in Mexico. Please continue to purchase USA made food and let kraft know you want your food made in the USA with our USA water employing USA workers. I still buy nabisco/Kraft product but I make sure I see it was made in the USA .
